A Community of Prayer
You are welcome to experience the serenity of being alone with Jesus in our designated prayer room. You're also welcome to utilize our prayer library and other resources available to guide your time. Write your prayers on the wall panels and/or pray over the prayers already written.
The 24/7 prayer room is currently closed during renovations at the King but will reopen when the building does.
Every month we host an all-church prayer gathering. Come alone, with your CORE group, with a coworker or a friend. These events are focused entirely on living out our value that prayer is of the utmost importance. We start with gratitude, pray together in groups, and end every meeting with the Lord's Prayer. Worship is sometimes a part of the gathering, but we aim to make the event focused entirely on prayer. You just might even get treated to some Crumbl or some other delicious snack if you join us!
We encourage everyone to join our Sunday prayer team to pray over people during Formation time in our Sunday morning gatherings.
We also have our Intercessor role before the first gathering and prays over our volunteers, staff, every seat, every kids room and many other aspects of our church.
One important aspect of prayer is the willingness to fast, or go without something for a limited amount of time (such as food, social media, spending, or anything that could potentially become an idol) in order to focus on our connection with and reliance on God. We see the power of prayer & fasting all throughout the Bible and we believe it's important to engage with in community.
At Contrast, we utilize Google Chats to build community and solidarity in these aspects of formation. If you would like to be a part of our Fasting or Prayer Google chat, use the form below to submit your chat channel requests and we’ll get back to you.
