Our Philosophy of Giving
We believe and teach that giving financially to the local church is a command for those who follow Jesus.. Though the idea of “tithe” (or firstfruits) may be an Old Testament principle (see Proverbs 3:9) Jesus’ ministry was one that sought to be more generous to those around us, not less. This is shown in many passages, namely in His story of the poor widow who gave all she had and Jesus commended for her faithfulness to God. We believe that giving is a component of the stewardship and generosity of what God has entrusted us with, and that it is an act of worship and a means of being faithful.
“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
2 Corinthians 9:6
Therefore, we want to be a generous church who is willing to be extravagant in our generosity towards our local church and community so that we can sow seeds in the community and be faithful to God and what he is calling us to.
What do the contributions go to?
Our annual budget allocates our funds to several areas of ministry— Our facility, local and global impact partners, church planting endeavors, local benevolence, HR, operations, kids ministry, mental health fund, and more.
