Contrast is passionate about teaching and equipping young people, who are serious about their vocation and having ministry as a part of it. This 10-week summer internship program is a great space for people to learn hands-on ministry skills with a young, growing church with a robust strategy for formation and mission in Columbus, OH.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
How to follow Jesus and his way through personal discipleship and intentional mentoring
Professional skills for planning, organizing, and developing Christian ministries
Unique perspectives into vocational ministry through leadership training and serving alongside pastors and ministry leaders
Specific focused instruction on chosen area of ministry (i.e. kids, worship, planting, pastoral, communities)
wHAT WILL YOU DO?
Work alongside staff throughout the week
Attend weekly staff meetings/other meetings
Complete Formed (discipleship/spiritual growth) curriculum
Join a CORE community and at least one missional community
Complete curated reading plans (leadership, spiritual and theological books)
Help develop and implement Sunday services and midweek programming
Handle office and administrative responsibilities
Lead events and missional communities
Coordinate, lead, and communicate with volunteers
What is included?
10 weeks of free housing with a host family that goes to Contrast Church
$2000 stipend (paid throughout the summer, monthly)
Learning and growing with a Jesus-loving community
Experiences that will help you follow Jesus and his way more deeply
